Default Air Filter Position, Help please.

Hi All, i'm finishing my 1st turbo setup. I'd love to hear opnios about my filter location. I decided because of the more fresh air (instead inside the engine bay). My only doubt is about water on the filter. I can't see water there, but who knows....

So, opnions are welcome.

Yeah, i know, don't laught of my hole repair

Almost done

Sorry for my english

Thanks for All!

Mines on the other side, just like that, no issues. I don't daily drive mine though, watch out for deep water. I have the holes in the bumper for fog lights opened up fully, so if i know i'm gonna be driving in heavy rain, like say for a track day, i have a napa liscense plate, that i block most of the opening with. Hurts my power some, but keeps it dry.

I would keep the filter in the bay for the peace of mind, have the filter sit at the place where the abs used to be

Yeah...

I'd like to know if on ordinary rain there will be no problem.
I think just on deep "puddle" water, may I have a problem.

Sorry for my english.

If you are that concerned with it, then just end it up in the bay above the opening... not sure if thats where your ABS used to be, never seen a honda with ABS

You could run some venting from your front bumper up to that opening, and then build a box around your filter, and it'd be just as good as what you are doing now, with the peace of mind of on water.

Yeah, 3". All "Visible" pipes of Polished SS (Including Donwpipe and Exaust), and the "Hide" pipes of Ordinary Carbon Steel.

We manage to build a Turbo manifold to keep A/C and PS.

Ive had mine there for 3 years ive driven in alot of water. Now if ur city has like foot of water com on comon sense do not drive the car. Or what i may do is cut the pipe in the engine bay and carry a 3" filter and when it rains alot just un clamp the filter and clamp the 3" filter in the engine bay
