AFR riching terrible
ok so I have a 300whp lsvtec turbo, I took it for a spin tonight and after driving for about thirty minutes and a few WOT pulls I noticed my afr was super rich like 8.8 on my MTX-L gauge, when I let out of the throttle it maxes the gauge out at 22.4 and it was jumpy, when the car idles after being driven it idles at around 14.0 then after idling for about a minute on the cool down before I cut the car off the afr changes to 16.0-17.0, nothing has changed on the set-up other then not being driven everyday like usual. im thinking possibly bc of the weather change it needs a retune since it just started warming up here in North Carolina.
any ideas opinions would be appreciated

either the sensor is going out or you just need minor adjustments on your tune. My car was doing the exact same thing as you, seriously. Then me and my friend went out for about an hr street tuning it and its all good now. throw in some new spark plugs.

I doubt it's the tune if it's a good tune. Iat makes adjustment for temps in the engine management. I seem to replace a lot of sensor on my mtx-l

At least the sensors are cheap. How long did you get out of yours? Mine started acting up a while ago. Been 15k miles or so since I got it. I blame my self partially. It turns on with accessories so I think I damaged it by having it on with the engine off

Re: AFR riching terrible
I have had my sensor in the car since November, not driving it everyday and been parked for the last 3 weeks while having turbo rebuilt. I did have the gauge on several times while the engine was not running fixing some turn signal wiring. the tune is about 2 months old from cold weather and a massive boost leak. my car previsouly ran with a hole in the coupler connecting charge pipe to intake manifold bc my 38mm 2 bolt tial WG couldn't control the boost even with a 8.7PSI spring I had creep into the 20's before vteckicked in using a garret t67 turbo and BRMS ramhorn manifold, while having turbo rebuilt I had a 44mm vband flange welded on and mated it to a 44mm tial, with a 10 lb spring currently she runs great staying right on 10lb thru redline.
and ive heard the problems with the sensors going bad after about 6 months and im sure anti-lag flames don't help with the longevity of the sensor. luckily ive got another one I can swap in. but I still think a retune might be in order cause it has a stumble/hesitation @ 2.5k in every gear esp when just cruising. ill try the new gauge and put new plugs in it today after work. thanks

Re: AFR riching terrible
I have heard it will shorten the life having it on and the car not running so I have always assumed this was my problem. I have debated adding a switch and relay to be able to turn it off when needed. I have gone through 2 in 15k miles

That's a good idea. Just remembered mine comes on with Ignition but tweaking my tunes with the engine off is probably what damaged it. I have a spare switch, I should just wire it to the power line
