Default Affect of boost on nitrous

Does anyone know what kind of effect is created when you run nitrous in an already boosted application? I'm guessing it would increase the power of the nitrous but I don't know by how much (ie, does a 25 shot become a 50 shot?). Someone claimed it will double it but that sounds too arbitrary of a figure to me. Any insight would be appreciated.

I guess it would depend on where you injected the nitrous before or after the turbo. I would think that if it were after the turbo a 50 shot would be a 50 shot, but if it's pre turbo then you are compressing the nitrous as well as the air so a 50 shot may very well equal a 100 shot. I don't know that for sure, just an educated guess.

The biggest difference it will make is that nitrous cools down the intake temp quite a bit. Other than that, power wouldn't increase any, spraying before or after the turbo.

incorrect.

nitrous allows more oxygen to be introduced to mixture. Bottom line more o2 is more o2, so if you are turbo and shoving your air in there, introduce nitrous to it and it will then have evan more oxygen being put into the mixture. bottom line.

I think it gives more power because it has a greater cooling effect as compared with normally asperated engines. It would be intresting to see on back to back dyno runs if it makes a difference pre-turbo or post-turbo. I would guess it would be better after the turbo- just a guess.

usually the nitrous will help you out with your midrange power, however the peak power to my knowlege wont increase tremendously. The great thing about nitrous is that you can see cooler intake air temps by up to 75 degrees. And of course, this requires proper dyno tuning so you dont fry your pistons or put a hole in your block.

nitrous not only helps on midrange power it helps on any part of the power band that you are spraying. Especially off the line which hondas so desperately need, if you are using wet shots don't spray too low or you may have a nitrous backfire. And nitrous works by increasing the amount of oxygen into the engine not just cooling the air going into the intake.
