AFC Hack Pressure Sensor
Ok well I just been messing with my AFC since its been installed and I noticed my pressure never really moves from -760hg sometimes maybe makes -754 or something like that. Shouldnt it be increasing and reading vac/boost? Is my map wiring not right?
Well so I went to strip the map in wire to the ecu and pulled out the ******* wire into the ecu... how can i fix that?
*sigh* bad suck sucks. I tried shoving the afc wire into the map in wire socket and it still read -760.
ps. I know the wiring is correct. =\

Did the wire it self break? Or is the pin still connected to the end. If the pin is still connected just try pushing it back in there. It might just snap back in. And connecting the AFC wire to the ECU input wont give you any voltage cuz all the ECU is doing is reading voltage at that point.

The pin is still stuck to the ecu. So I can get like a razor blade and pop that out? Why wouldnt it give me voltage during a sensor check?.. The tps does? But on the map all i get is .005 to .0010.. :\ Wouldnt it still give me a reading if I stuf the afc wire into the pin that the original map line was connected to?

Connecting to the ECU wont give you any voltage. The votage is coming from the MAP sensor wire to the ECU. Connect to that wire and see what you get. And good luck with the whole pin stuck in the ECU thing.

Up to the top. Gotta figure out why im not reading any voltage from the map sensor.
And why under boost the map reads boost.

No, your MAP sensor is fine, you're just not connected to the ECU.

Well it ended up bein a goof and I had the wrong wire. Now everythings the way it should be. Crank it at -35 and it starts. It leans and richens to settings like it should. But my pressure doesnt increase/decrease. Also my idle is at like 1,500 and is not dropping. Throttle is at 0% at idle. And rpms are reading correctly. So I dont know? Map wire is completly perfect and very secure connection. Can anyone help me with this?
Yeah thats set right. It's confusing me. It seems to me that the map still isnt connected right because of not reading pressure. But both wires are connected.. Yellow to ecu, white to map. And I know I got the right line this time.
It actually reads 7 more vac when the car is started.. the boost gauge reads solid -20 vac. And when you tap the gas. Boost/vac gauge goes to 0 or so, and pressure on the afc stays the same.

im about to go completly rewire everything. but right now the car will start and idle like **** at -47% and run RICH AS HELL and throw a cel. =\
Well rewired everything and checked all connections. Everythings fine. Started it up.. idled low as hell like 300 rpm and wanted to die, was smoking from richness like crazy. Settings were -47, and still reads no pressure. Someone please help me. :\ No CEL this time. Also tried initializing and setting all settings back. No go. =\
Does anyone know why this keeps happening to me? Its almost like the map isnt getting connection. But I know for a fact this is the map sensor wire. And no matter how lean the settings I get a CEL and clouds of black smoke. =\
Thats weird. I do have it set 06 in 06 out. I seem to think its not reading the map for some reason because none of the corrections are taking place. But In1 is reading the 2.8 volts or whatever from the sensor. :\
did you see the info i sent you while on hmt? hopefully that will help.
don't strip the wire back risking yanking out the wire...just take your soldering iron back and forth on the insulation where you want to strip it back and you can melt it to strip it...just don't put you face over it and breathe deep unless you like the funny smell and dizziness.
