Default AFC hack and OBD-2 questions...

Anbody out there have any luck with the hack on OBD-2? Do you get codes all the time? Codes occassionally? Any workarounds?

Basically I was all ready to give the hack a try so I can ditch my FMU etc. but now it appears as if it's mainly for obd-1(or atleast works better on obd-1)
If I do try it anyway, how much boost can my stock fuel pump and MAP handle?
Thanks for any info.

Yes it will work perfectly on an obdII car. There is no difference. And you can run 450cc or in some cases 550cc injectors. With 450's you can run 11psi with 550's I think it was around 14- 16psi. Stock fuel pump....I dont know.

It works fine but you will throw a code just b/c obdII is more sensitive. The code will be a 13 but everyone says that's normal and this wont cause your car to go into limp mode. The hack saves a lot money compare to the hondata and with proper tunning the hack can give you some pretty nice numbers and a pretty smooth A/F curve. GL

But it's still a hack and a bandaid...save for hondata IMO.

I've been driving with a code 13 for 5 months now. Doesn't bother me at all that the CE light is on, although I guess it would get on some people's nerves. Doesn't bother me near as much as all the hard-earned money I'd have to spend on a standalone setup...

In fact, just seeing that little yellow light glowing on the dash gives me a "warm fuzzy" when I think of how much I spent on filetofit's maplimiter ($21).

Unlike the VAFC, the SMC+ and SMC500 have circuitry to prevent CEL13 and CEL3 from appearing.
