AFC hack ignition recurve explained.
It's 5am. I read this post front to back and went and towed some DUI's car, while thinking about what the hell this means.
I fully understand the MAP voltage is being manipulated and that has a side effect of causing undesirable (sp?) timing maps.
I also fully understand that the way to do it right is with a chip or ECU.
What I have deciphered from this thread is that the closer to you get your ECU to thinking it's at normal atmospheric pressure the better and safer your car will run.
The numbers thrown around that I am still unsure of are the OBD0 (9.25psi) and OBD1 (10.65psi)max MAP PSI numbers.
Are they the PSI numbers 440cc hack users should aim for?
Or, if they are not what is the ideal number?
I understand what the Sweedish (or whatever) guy was asking, if you ran say a 390cc injector and lower boost then you would be closer to the ideal hack ratio. He's right on track as far as I can tell.

Are they the PSI numbers 440cc hack users should aim for? yep but don't go over it but if your boost is still building you still have ignition timing wurse than a n/a map.
