Default AFC, do thre work?

i was wondering about using an AFC for a tune. Ive messed with one before but it wasnt a boosted car. Ill be boosting a stock 2.5L with a T3-T04E on prob no more then 8lbs. Im not sure what that translates into as far as HP but anyway the kit comes with a AFC to tune with. what do you guys think?

afc's are only usefull if your car is obd2 and you need to pass inspection with the stock computer (new yorkers)

other than that its much safer to run a tuneable computer program

It is not an issue of the AFC failing...
The issue is they are not as tuneable...
They have a small graph and you can only raise fuel +- 50%
Standalone systems not only offer more options in terms of how much fuel to use
but also give you the ability to accurately control larger injectors.
There are also a ton of cool features on just about every standalone that an AFC just won't have such as:
Launch Control
Rev Limiter
Boost Cut
Fuel Cut
and a bigger fuel table so your tune is smooth not choppy

There can get the job done but its not really fine tuning its just like making it driveable with usually rich a/f's. They also effect ur timing in a bad way with turboed cars.

its mostly about not being able to control timing, and the more fuel you pull out with the afc, the more timing the car is adding.

AFC's work fine for other already turboed cars, but for Hondas, there are much better options.
for reference though I made over 500whp and tq on an SAFC on my Supra. So I know they work, but no timing control
