Default Aeromotive Pro vs Dual Bosch 044

I have the aeromotive pro pump pushing 2200 cc ID injectors. 45psi base
on E85.

i was going to put a voltage booster on it to kick it up a little. Ive done a couple of runs where it hit 37psi on an s372 and keeping the air fuels around 11.5-12.0 its running 95-100% duty cycle, but no drop in fuel mix.

Does the dual 044 setup flow more? Does anyone have a REAL flow chart for the bosch pumps.

please note that the car "dynod" 830 at 34 psi.

ya the whole 2 pump thing is what worries me. One dies, but the other is trying to keep up so it really goes to ****.

I've never really understood the "don't want to rely on 2 pumps" argument. Either way, if you lose a pump you're screwed haha.

I plan on doing the dual 044s myself, I really like the results that people have been getting out of those setups.

brain is a funny thing, when i run out of pump on the aeromotive pro, i will switch. I set my car up where i could do the switch relatively easy.

I am planning to try out Xenocron's new dual 044 surge tank.... It's a good alternative to running one big inline pump, and very well priced.

There's nothing wrong with dual pumps, and it depends on how much power you are using up in terms of fuel flow.

If you have dual Walbro's, and running 700WHP on gas, then yes.. One pump fails, but the other can still keep the engine running at a dangerously lean state.

If you are running 850WHP+ on dual Walbros, for example... One pump fails, the other can't even come close to keeping up. All the engine would do is sputter and stops running.

Single pump failure conditions are similar, and the engine will usually misfire and not want to keep running as the pump is failing.

would someone say for 700whp that xenocron's surge tank fitted with dual 044's would be overkill or would one think this could be obtained with 1 of the new walbro 400's??? running on c16

i made 650 on my a1000 man and that was on rc1000's not 1600's

i think you have room to grow with your injectors past what i did my base was 70psi

I made close to 700whp using the Eliminator pump on e85 w/ dc of 86% 1600cc injectors.

Put on a boost a pump, or go to a Weldon...

Two pumps, brackets, fittings...etc, is a lot of cost to essentially be at the same HP

On gas, 700hp can be had on a single Walbro 400 or even one of the new 340lph pumps (did it yesterday) but then you are at or near the LIMIT before things out of your control can and will happen.

Running on the edge is really never ideal...but it certainly is done all the time

I made 605whp on c16 with a single "walbro 400" 3 years ago, 22psi and a base fuel pressure of 50 with 1:1 fuel pressure ramp. This was also on a sloppy automatic GM transmission.

It was only running at (probably less than) ~13.5 volts as well. They work pretty decent on c16 without a doubt.

I ran out of pump on e98 and a proseries pump with 2150s, I too was on the fence and went Weldon 2345a. Its expensive but its a hell of a pump.

Car made just over 1000 on they dyno with base FP at 55psi. It was on the edge though and couldn't maintain it down the track at a safe AF.

Switch to the Weldon and added a set of 900cc secondaries and finally have room to grow.

Weldon sells a fuel pump controller but without a fuel cooler I am not sure how well it would work as a daily driver. I would contact Weldon and get thier opinion.
