Default Aem and wideband..using 30-1000 on obd2

I am trying to help a friend wire a wideband to aem 30-1000 which is for obd1 on his obd2 ...he has conversion harness...and I was just wondering do I wire up the analog output wire to d14 on conversion harness or to what ever the o2#1 is on obd2 original harness...I have it to d14 right now and aem is so far off that adjusting the gain by +/- 2.00 wouldnt even help? Thanks for your help

i ment what color from your wide band harness.....try grounding directly to the battery..and are all your connections solderd?..it shouldnt matter if u tap into the factory harness or conversion harness..
