I've got a speed shop in Bridgewater, MA. I usually go to Mike Dez's shop in Seekonk, MA for tuning... not just because he has a dyno w/ a wideband... but because he's a 'tuner' and has collaborated with me on tuning some very big, very expensive magazine cars. He and I figured out a customers Haltech EK6 system and made him an additional 100whp on a turbo IS300 in about an hour. After an MSD box decided to short out and burst into flames, he came to a quick rescue and saved us with proper tooling, equipment, and fast thinking ... which was nice, I didn't want to see the car burn down to the ground still strapped to the rollers.
I'm sure its not free... but if someone is hosed, and need to change to another set of injectors or blows a charge pipe, it can be done. I'd rather pay the same $100/hr for piece of mind, rather than just $100/hr for some other shop w/ a wideband and no assistance...
If we just want cheap dyno time, there are shops that will do $50/hr, but you are on your own, their attitude about it is "bring your own tools + toys, and good luck!"

Hey! I've bumped into you in a few posts on the AEM forum. I (The Drivers Seat) posted a few times, asking for help w/ my 1.03 upgrade that rendered my car dead. I've got no problem with you tuning my car, and noticed that you are in NC.
This might work out pretty good
I agree about the "Official EMS trained super-hero" or whatever badge people wear. Any class can teach people how to use the wizards, and menu's and setup basic parameters, ... but it takes the time + experience tuning cars, and adding notches to the belt that qualifies the tuner. I'm a newb' at AEM EMS, ... I know better than to try to mess up my own car w/out some serious over the shoulder guidance

Pboostin: I remember back in the winter when you and Barry were posting on Honda-Tech ... good to see you finally got tuned, and made some serious HP. Mase would be another great candidate for the job, but I'm under the impression that he's pretty booked up. I would have loved to join everyone in VA for a re-tune... but I can't escape from the shop here too easily for the long road trip.
I dunno, ... what do you guys think ... looks like its shaping up to be JDogg, and somewhere in southern MA?

Im definitly down for that. It gives him the ability to get his name known as well, seeing as mase is the #1 prospect. Im up for giving JDogg the opportunity to tune my stuff. I know not a thing about the AEM im running but trying to learn. Anyway, is anyone of you other posters here down for a JDogg tune maybe in June-July?

Chris, (CD performance) is super cheap... at $50/hr including wideband. But he's no Mike-Dez, that's for sure. Chris is also awful when it comes to scheduling time on his dyno, he lets other people scoot in ... if not watched dilligently... you'd definatley have to book the whole day in order to keep the rif-raf out
On a positive note... he IS super cheap. Maybe I could book the whole day with him, and get a bunch of us done mega-cheap.

im going to have to move the trip to the 2nd week of july.. **** came up today that conflicts... but its still on, just pushed back a month
as for hondata, i can do it and i have the software and such, but the shop's chip burner setup is about 1000 bux and i most likely wont be able to bring it. if you have the equipment then i can do it no problem.
if you guys have a dynapack near by i would prefer to use that, i am familar with it and i can do a better job with one. i know of one in mass, but its gona take some work to get them to let me use it for a day or whatever.
i have 3 people so far that have emailed me expressing interest. the more people i can get together the cheap it will be for everyone, gas aint cheap these days.

OMG, NO!!!! Don't let JDogg touch your car... he is a Stunna, and he loves V-tech!!1
LOL, hit my AIM or PM for a cheap sub-$100 chip burner recommendation. I'm glad to see you finally getting some attention... if you'd whored more of Phil's big power B16 + boost dyno plots to this forum you'd have gained more recognition by now.
PS, don't stay at PHiZ's house, I hear he's a Stunna and loves i-Vtech.

while my name been tossed in this thread, id like to chime in as well.
many people think that im so competitive and dont like any of the other tuners on the board... thats not the case...
while I have not seen jdogg's work first hand, i have often talked to him on AIM, and I like what i hear.
he's one of the few people on here that I believe they actually know what they are doing w/ the aem ems.
I am a busy person, and even in the summer, im taking a full load of classes. im trying to steer away with these big tuning sessions just for the mere fact that problems always arise.
with all that being said, im still tuning when i have time.
but certainly, Jdogg should greatly be considered...

Yeah, I'm taking 4 classes over the summer myself. I'm a triple major and want to gradutate... ever.
Also, I have a xeltek superpro/Z that is more than capable of burning (it'll accept up to a 40 pin device.) However my romulator is taking a ****, again. But I should have a new one within a week or so.

Good, ... when can we expect you?
I'm glad you decided to post on this. I wouldn't mind having either one of you come out either, its just all a matter of coordination and timing.
JDogg just mentioned that he wanted to push back the date a couple of weeks, but it turns out I'll be in Alaska from July 8-9th till 18-19th ....
I really dont want to miss out on this tuning opportunity, that's for sure.

i need to get tuned as soon as possible, I'll get in on a dyno with anyone that wants to do a full day to make it cheaper. I'm right outside of Boston. When Jdogg said June I almost had a heart attack, but now I don't know if I can wait.

Maybe the two of us should get together, and just have him come out, since we need help sooner than later. If there's a 3rd or 4th person that needs to come down w/ Hondata or EMS, then so be it. We can make up a package of people for either JDogg or Mase.

You might even be able to work a deal if you schedule the whole day for a small amount of cars (say 4 or less). That isn't very much work for Chris, since it wouldn't be a "dyno day."
Also, I think Chris is better with scheduling now since the dyno has become more active. I think back when we used it, its use was sporatic which lead to him not being 100% dedicated to scheduling.
If you goes go somewhere local, I'll probably stop by to shoot video and some pics. I have much love for boosted cars.
