AEM FPR Bad?
I was told to re-check my FPR psi by my tuner. So i pulled off the vac line, an noticed fuel came out. Is this supposed to happen? Wont running the motor cause fuel to come out?
anyways thanks for replys i searched an not sure if i should start it like that.

Sounds like the diaphram ripped the older Aem fpr's were nototrious for doing that.It shouldnt be leaking fuel when the vac line is disconnected.
ok thanks! I am lookin at it right now an i dont see any tares. Mine looks like a newer one tho, cause it has the bearing thing. Can someone help me out with AEM FPR diagram to be sure it was put together right?
I dont want ot buy a diaphram unless i have to.
Thanks for the reply's!

My vote is to put a stock FPR on the car. An aftermarket FPR is not necessary IMO. If you need one, let me know...i've got an extra laying around. OEM equipment for the most part doesnt fail and lasts a long time. Seems like a majority of the time certain parts are upgraded for no reason at all.
I`ve heard at least 2 stores locally about the AEM regulators dumping fuel into the vacuum line. I had 2 different AEM regulators on 2 different setups and never had any sort of problems! The first step is to get a new diaphram.

I installed an AEM regulator on a Supra about 4 years ago, and I still remember that p.o.s. dumping fuel everywhere. There was a pin-size hole in the diaphragm. Regulator was new and car wasn't even seeing boost yet....
Aeromotive ftw!
You'll probably want to change your oil after fixing your problem.

I reember a thread on here a while back called something like "civic extra crispy", where the guy blamed his aem fpr for flame broiling his engine compartment, and other people seemed to agree that was probably it..
