Did you convert a .94 map or start from scratch? I heard some people have idle issues with maps they convert, AEM recommended taking the idle maps from their base maps, but that doesn't help my 680cc situation... thanks

i think aem meant take all the idle settings from the base maps. not the fuel maps.
it is for this reason that i did not convert my .89 map to 1.03. i am starting off with a base map (turbo 310 to be exact, since its always worked very well for me). and adding my fuel and timing maps from my old map by hand....including all the custom **** in my old map...

Since I am still tuning, I copied my fuel and ignition maps from my v.94 cal to the base 1000 map for the v.1.03. Then I set my outputs, vtec, rev limts, etc. So far its doing much much nicer. The new librairies are great, and so is the over all interface I think. Took long enough to get a verison this good.
Hope people's converting issues though get solved asap.

the new libraries are great but for some reason AEM's uego oxygen sensor isn't scaled the same as the manual they sent me with the contrller. The voltage vs. afr is off.
I need some help with the idle. I loaded firmware 1.03 to my ems friday and tried to start the car with the Turbo 440 1020 basemap. didnt work so I opened my old v.94 map on AEM Classic (both can be open at the same time
) and copied all the start maps I could. It finally started. I was having some trouble with my idle surging back and forth. Then I found out aems's 1020 supposedly is pinned wrong. So I switched pin A12 to A14 and the idle went up to like 2k. I played with the idle settings/tables and nothing changed until i unchecked the idle invert box. Then the idle went down to about 1100rpm. Am I doing this right? what is the frequency supposed to be set at? There has to be something wrong, the car's died 3 times while driving since friday. once it wouldnt start until like a minute later after i held the throttle down a bit. Its embarassing when youre holding up traffic on a green light

No, actually A12 and A14 are the same pins (internally).

if that was true nothing would have changed when the wire was repinned to A14. Like I said, after switching the pin the idle was steady at 2000rpm. There was no more than 5 minutes between starts. just unplugged the harness, pushed the plastic piece, and with the help of a needle pulled the pin. nothing else was changed.

Makes sense to me.. I posted in that thread, but that board seems to be dying and I never got my question answered
I am going to go switch the pins on my 30-1020, my IAC has NEVER worked on A12 despite playing with settings left and right. I will switch the pins and see... I'll post my results
