Default AEM or crome or uberdata :SEARCHED:

ok....turboing my LS. Its gonna be a daily driver during the week and race it at the track on the weekends. 300-400 hp . Ive been stuck between the AEM EMS, crome, or uberata. I know the AEM is expensive. but you can change the boost without having to burn a new chip. But i dont think i need all the other options the EMS comes with on a street car. So if i dont go with the AEM EMS, i was wondering wich you guys thought was better between Uberdata and Crome? ID like to hear your opinions.

For your goals I would go with crome/uberdata (price being the main factor). Plenty of people have made lots of power using crome/uberdata. If your going to be running pump gas at the track you can just tune your car to 300-400whp and turn the boost down when your not at the track. No need to burn extra chips unless your running race gas and pump gas.

AEM - Like $1000
Uberdata or Crome - Free!

I know what I'm going with. In any case, from what I've read Crome has fewer bugs than Uberdata. Either way, you'll save a friggin' bundle.

All of the above work very well on a street car. AEM being the obvious winner, but I would say for the price it is more suited to makes/brands that don't have the kind of support the stock ecu does for hondas. If you are tuning it for yourself and are just learning the software crome is the best for people just starting out. There are way more how to's and supports. Not saying either is better, in my mind they are the same (free versions) you just have to know what you are doing with uber. It is sometimes hard to just jump right in.

ive tuned cars using crome and uberdata...just the auto tune feature alone in crome makes it better...but compared to a full standalone like aem ems or autronic the "freebe" software doesnt have features to keep up...but for the average honda user its overkill...

since uberdata is based on the P72 and crome is based on the P30 code, I would stick with whichever program my stock ECU has native. Also, I dont think the autotune features of crome make it worth the money. I would get crome free and use freelog to datalog...

Free vs Free they are the same.

****, I don't even use the auto tune feature on my AEM on my Hatch.

autotune is more of a marketing ploy dont by an engine managment because it has autotune it DOES NOT REPLACE A GOOD TUNER, so dont think you can go tune a car now because it can "autotune" it for you. Its still based on information, if it gets bad numbers you'll get bad numbers out...

Ever think it is a user error or maybe even you have a bad version?

I never have problems with mine. I even have a "custom version". I never updated to 1.9 or whatever, I use 1.70 the most stable version with all the new scripts and what not. I have been using the same version for a very long time. And seriously if you didn't know, they share the same damn scripts just mated to be used for the certain applications.. so honestly they both do the same ****.

BTW there is no reason to call it a BS software.. for one it had a lot of things before crome did back in the day, if it was not for competition we wouldn't have either one.

Sorry I just like to defend uber, it is not a bad software, there is just an anti-uberdata bandwagon going on, it gets to me a little bit.
