I'm running BFG drag radials, 225 50 15s. 92 hatch w built H22 & 530whp - 430wtq.
I'm using SBC elect. boost mgmt. It will let me go as low as 16psi and as high as 25psi. If you spin the BFGs alot, they won't last. I keep tire pressure @ 20lbs. and use the car for street only. At full boost it will hold in 5th only.
Heard some good things about the newer design MT street drag radials and plan to order some. I don't have a Tbar and experience no hopping or uneven traction @ launch. Getting better about feathering the throttle and holding down wheelspin.

ive used every brand drag radial there is and they all last about the same. it depends on your power how long that actually is....but they dont last very long at all for me (400whp, 2100 lbs) but my car is not daily driven so no big deal.

the drag radial i have had the most traction with was the hoosier dr's.

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

but they are the most expensive dr so im going back to 225/50/15 MT DR's.

It was more less for mike93eh2 . But good to see you got a diff and axles.
I only have a diff, no axles yet.

Car looks good, I must admit.

This is the only thing that is pushing me away from making 500. I'm trying to keep ac/ps and it's my dd(I have another car but it's a piece of .... )
yea i forgot about that, i do have a obx lsd i forgot to mention, autozone axles, and am using a stock 86-89 1st gen integra transmission (the one with 5th gear on the outside of the case)

power is a little over 400whp and 310 ft lbs. depends on dyno.

I've ran RA1's for a few years on my civic, not puttind down quite as much power but they are really good in both the dry and wet. You may get alittle less wear in Fl where it's obviously warmer then washington state but i could get over 10k out of the front pair with alot of freeway driving. I also know people who have tried the 888's and love them, just less tread depth then the RA1's..

and yes the car is lowered on PIC performance drag suspension = stiff as *****. and no there is no rubbing whatsoever anywhere at anytime.
what are the width and offset of the front wheels?

Get the Bfg's. They are good and sticky. Daily should last you over a year. Just dont shred on them on a daily basis and you'll be fine.

I dont think that you want to mix bias ply and radial tires...

Ok, I think I have made a decision... I am going to pick up 6 of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15-x7...Q5fAccessories, put p195/55r15's on 2 for the rear, 2 p225/50r15 bfg drag radials for the front on the daily, and 2 p225/50r15 "el cheapos" for the front for my 100+ mile interstate adventures... what do you think?

sorry to go a bit off topic, but could one of you explain to me how the engine management responds while using an avcr. what i mean is, if you are tuned for 25lbs and use the avcr to lower the boost through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear how are the afr's and timing affected by this difference? since the boost is lower, does that mean that 1, 2, and 3rd gear will be slightly richer than when you hit 25lbs in 4th? or is the difference negligible?

no one with a decent engine management setup should need an avcr period... all of the major programs have boost by gear built in.

you aren't helping answer my question, just telling me to buy something else. i understand those management systems would more than likely be better than my current s200/avcr, but since thats what i have right now, id like to know how they work with each other. not trying to be rude.

start a new thread and ask that question, you will get way more responses if you ask in the right place. truthfully, i dont know how they would interact, but i do know that keeping the s200 and using an avcr on top is more expensive, less effective, and less reliable than upgrading.

As for tires listen to Blown, he knows what he is talkin about. I have a set of the M&H bias ply (they call them their street strip DOT's) and they are very sticky tires. Not much life in them but very sticky. I would also buy them again not just for the quality but the service. I met the owner at the shop in Bakersfield and he was such a cool guy. They get a big from me. ^_-
