Default Adjustable cam gears

Hey guys,
a close buddy of mine has a B20-Vtec with Type R cams. He's got a t4 turbo and pushing about 7 psi on 9:1 compression. He is just wondering what a good place to start with the cam gears is; he needs to dial out some of the boost as his torque starts to drop at 7900 rpm. I said a good place to start is 2 advance on the exhaust, and 2 retard on the intake, and tune from there.
Unfortunately we don't have easy access to a dyno; and I couldn't find any answers via the search option. Thanks in advance guys!

come on, nobody has adjustable cam gears on their bb20vtec-t?
