adequate valvetrain?
I am currently just grabbing some of the last remaining parts i need for a new b18b setup and was looking for a few opinions regarding valve springs.
i'm gonna go with the crower 402t's and was curious if others believe whether or not 00' itr springs and retainers would be enough to take advantage of the turbo cams.
the reason i'd like to use these is pretty much because i already have them, my roomate just grabbed sum new supertechs so yea, it would save a few bucks. that said i don't mind spending the money if the difference i would see from a set of crowers etc would be night and day when compaired to the itr's. TIA
reid.

Re: adequate valvetrain? (Redline130)
while i would love to disagree with you, i believe you may be correct. i know they sell springs and obviously cams as seperate packages for vtec and nonvtec heads. but i have read of ppl using b16 springs/retainers in nonvtec heads while utilising a blend of ls and b16 keepers/retainers. i cannot confirm any of this as firsthand be me tho. this misinformation was partly responsible for my original question on their adequacy all together. if it was possible for them to function, i'd make it work cuz there next to free, if not and its a huge hassle, no biggy, just grab a set of crowers or sumthin.
