9000 RPM
well my bottom end is getting rebuilt and i may as well build up my head as well. i want to be able to rev to 9000. i know rpm kills the motors, and i'm not going to see 9000 rpm on a daily basis, but perhaps in some races that are REAL close i'll have the advantage of being able to go to 9k instead of 8k.
what my question was is what kind of valve train do you recommend for 9k. stainless steel valves...titanium retainers. what kind of springs? gonna have to be somewhat stiff i'm guessing. if this doesnt look like its going to be easy to do i think i'm just gonna go with an ITR setup. i just wanted to ask before i made my decision so i don't get some crappy parts. i dont know much about valvetrain manufacturers reputations.....

Re: 9000 RPM (immortal)
dude.. just up the boost w/ the scramble button set to a couple extra psi...
win lose or dead even......
if you lose... screw it.. who cares.....
9k rpm limit.... haha... just up the boost and take advantage of the first 8k before you get crazy spending mad cash for a top end you might not really need to spend...

Re: 9000 RPM (immortal)
you will need better **** then the itr valve train to go to 9000, Ti retainers are a must, I think the best springs are toda or spoon, itr valves themselfs will do fine.
anything spoon or toda will get that job done....

Re: 9000 RPM (ITR-481)
look into eibach valve springs and these valves http://www.theoldone.com/components/valves/
This will get you to 9.5K or even 10K.

There is nothing wrong with overkill. The ITR springs HAVE failed me personally, so I'll never use those again.
