I was actually Given a B16 the the owner no longer wanted because the motor was turbo and the Dummy broke a valve he said and I quote "Do me a favor can you take that motor and toss it for me" me being the good samaritan I said sure. I knew that he didnt break the valve he was Boosting to high and I guess he didnt realize that OEM valves are 2 parts and I was sure the valve came apart.

Long story short curiosity told me just break the motor down and get rid of it a little at a time.
After pulling it apart to my surprise it was a Darton Sleeved b16 and there was virtually no damage at all to the Cylinder walls lol. It has Minor scuffs that Im sure I can bore .50 over and they will be gone but the machine shop told me the cost would be the same .50 over or if I went up to 84mm. Also the motor also had dam near new eagle H beam rods lol.

So I wanted to ask is it worth boring it out to 84mm on a B16 or Not
The setup I am going to run is
JRSC B16 Bottom with 9 to 1 pistons
GSR head
3 angle Supertech valves Bronze guides Supertech valve springs and Retainers
550cc RC injectors
CRV crank pulley
Hondata S300 to keep it all in check
PLM headers
Debating a 3in exhaust on a supercharger Currently have a 2.5 inch Apexi Worls sport I would like to keep the setup as Queit as possible.
I would like to try to get up to 12lbs.
The Goal is this car will be used as a DD and for road race events. There are other little things that I did not list like CTR cams gates timing belt but you guys have an idea where I'm going.

Any Comments ? Does anyone think that its worth Boring the b16 to 84mm with a 9.1 compression?

I just don't undsrstand what you are even asking. The whole setup sounds ludacris. The main part being 9:1 on a supercharged Honda engine. You must be what they call a "troll". Have fun kid.

I would def. go to 84mm the more displacement you get out of a b16 the better, you need as much extra tq. as you can get.

As far as compression goes, what supercharger set up are you going to use? is it intercooled? and what fuel will you be using?

9:1 is a bit low, should be a bit higher depending on your answers to the above questions..

You'd need to sleeve to get to 84mm bore, but without additional stroke to accompany that, only expect about 20-3ft/lbs of torque throughout the powerband of the engine. As for compression for supercharger, 10.5:1 and slightly higher is ideal. You need compression to help with that supercharger.

It took me a little while to find that as well. If the sleeves need work, overbore it. Personally, I would go with higher compression ratio (10:1+)
