Default .84 ar on a stock h22

I have a stock h22 and am trying to uptain at least 350-390whp will i be able to obtain this hp leavel with this turbo. turbo is a garrett t3/t4 with a .84a/r on the hot side and .60 ar on compressor side. the fuel will be controled by rc 750cc injectors a walbro 255lph pump. ems will be aem. i don't have any springs in the head so i will have to keep the stock limit of 8000rpms.

thanks for your advise

Won't do it for long without dropping compression

Sounds good, 350 whp isnt that hard to obtain with a h22. I'm currently running a sc61 with a .63 ar/56 trim and spools at 3k and hits full boost around 3800rpm @ 8psi. I havent hit the dyno but it ran a 12.1 @ 118 mph on a street tune. I think the .84 ar is overboard, so i'd look into a .63 ar. With that much compression/displacement it' makes for real fast spool.

I have .82 hot side on my f22 and it's lag city. I'd prefer a .63 if I can find a deal on one. Power comes on strong, but it just takes a while to spool up. 10psi might be around 5k+. H22 might spool a lil better, but I wouldn't imagine a ton better.

does garrett even make a .84 a/r in a t3 housing??

I think that turbo is way to big for a stock h22. the car going to be slow because first off it's stock second you going to have to pull alot of timming because you going to want to keep pressure off the pistons, third you got to run on the rich side like 11.0-11.5 a/r. since the motor is stock, forth you cant rev higher because no springs and retainers.

many people say you can boost a stock car it's all in the tune. but most of them boosting b-series hondas witch is to me stronger than a h22 in stock form.

These seem like ridiculous #'s. First that turbo is huge and you won't spool it unless your running at large rpms, so it will suck on the street. 2) No matter how good the tune is the pistons will be smoked, because at these power goals there is no such thing as a conservative tune. 3) Did someone give you some false asumption that these numbers would be attainable with stock internals and be safe. If you use this turbo an obtain and power it wont be useful hp.

well i bought the turbo from a shop here in ny called juiners. i was told that this turbo wont spool until like 3rd gear from someone at garrett turbo but this is after i got the turbo. the guys at the shop said that this turbo will spool around 4k. on the exhaust housing inlet there is 2 holes like a seperator for the exhaust gas to go into the turbo.

ouch, thats a t4 housing which is even worse, divided tang mightgive you a slight more chance but that turbo will suck ona stock h22

european housing is a t4 housing with a t3 flange. the turbo you bought is a master power (only real masterpowers ahve this option) youll be fine

what the hell are you tlaking about? this is the second dumb ******* post ive seen you make. as long as its tuned well and he keeps boost levels modest it should run forever

Yep, there is such a thing as a AR.84 EURO small inlet hsg(T3 flange). You are probably looking at 10psi a little closer to 5k even with the divided hsg and a manifold built for it. I ran an AR. 84 Ptrim on a stock automatic B16 motor and made 7psi at around 5500rpm's. I am currently running an AR.70 O trim and make 7psi before 5k.

well, hes got a much longer stroke and bigger bore.

with a properly designed manifold and all he should see boost quite early. some of the master powers use floating ball bvearings from what i understand

All this post does is beat around the bush that this isn't the proper turbo to use but will work. Great so dump 5-6K on a turbo set up that is not efficient. Why not do it right the first time instead of going through turbo after turbo. There are many people who spec turbo applications for your specific set up.
