8:1 pistons???
8.0:1 is fine for a single cam.... I assume this motor belongs in a CRX? In such a light car, the sluggishness from the lower compression wouldn't be too much of a big deal.
Although I am a huge fan of high compression turbos, but only on a B-series. On a B-series with tight gearing, high compression with fast spooling turbo = big time fun.

thanks for all that input! and yes it will be in an EF with an ok spooling turbo. it redlines at what... 6500 or something. it'll end up around 8.5:1 after the milled vtec head and im gonna start it on 10psi until i get a better map sensor and bigger fuel pump in a week or 2. and it'll also be obd1 with an Si tranny. im gonna need some serious traction work lol i dont think cut springs will work haha for the time being im gonna run a d15b vtec cam, i was told they had the same specs as a stage one (zex?) (crane?) cam. ill upgrade later. how much will that hurt me?
