76MM TB help me please! built gsr b16a head
okay, so i need help! Im pulling my hair out trying to get this thing to idel right!!!
Motor specs are
b18c1
9.1 wisco pistons
Egeal Rods
B16a head
76mm throttle body BLOX
Victor X intake
550cc Tuner Toys injectors
chipped tuned p28
Also VAFC plugged in
Inavative Wideband lm1
Let me know if more info is needed...
Iv calibrated my TPS to like .45V like i should? But what i dont know is, how do i know how far to adjust the butrer fly open?! where do i change the idel adjustment!?!
Im having some aftermarket throttle body woes an its killing me! it goes to like 2000rpm, then bounces between 2k an 1k..... uhg!
its not leaking from around the trottlebody an its just plane annoying to have a 550whp idle like ****!!!!
-anyone been though this with a aftermarket throtle body? help me out with info yo!
-i need to know how far should i have the butterfly open?
-what should my tps voltage be?
-how do i adjust my idel on a 76mm BLOX trotle body?

thats a huge TB why do you have it?
Blox stuff is typically junk.......
.45v with the TB closed is what it should be at.
you made 550whp with 550cc Injectors?
Why are you using a VAFC with a chipped ECU????? Your setup is going to have to be tuned to run correctly, were you tuned and then added this TB to your setup?

How did you calibrate the TPS? Describe the steps you took.
If the Tb is sealing well, then the problem is your idle control valve. I got tired of cleaning mine and having uneven idle. A new one from the dealer fixed it right up.

this might be the problem. chipped tuned p28
Also VAFC plugged in, need a good tune, because i have seen cars without iacv idle better, then yours. GL

sup guys thanks for the replys!
ya with 1000cc injectors i made 554whp an 467tq but was not streetable at all... so now im running less boost an smaller injectors tuned. but also have the vafc stil in as kinda a bonus! case i ever wanna change some thing real quick
When i put the 76mm TB on there i port matched it with my victorX an used YamaBOND gasket sealer, like all my friends had done with there cars.
I messed with my TPS voltage, an found the idle adjustment on the TB above the TPS kinda hiden away. I just looked up the voltage on my VAFC an calibrated it to .5v an closed the idle adjustment almost the hole way. got it to idle lower at like 900rpm just kinda bouncy when its cold. but warm its all good
Still would like to know how many MM my TB should be open from all the way closed.
An BLOX TB's are not to bad for the money. iv had Skunk2 bodys an those where harder to set up then my BLOX lol..... they both worked great tho!!!
