74mm Throttle body on JRSC
Building a b18c1 with a JRSC. Expecting over 260 HP. Would a 74mm Throttle body be suitable for this setup? Will i see a decrease in horsepower numbers due to the large diameter TB? Its a STR TB by the way.

will a 74 even fit on a JRSC? i dont think it will, i had to really gring my JG manifold to make my 74mm T body fit, i think you could get a bit smaller one, and save the port work and be fine.
we did a STOCK gsr with the JRSC and LHT intercooler kit and made 283hp. it even had the stock intake tube and filter, just exposed open filter

**** really? Dam, im using LHT kit too, that would suck if it won't fit, i just got one. Maybe ill keep it for the day i make a huge turbo setup. I guess thats what it's for.

Re: 74mm Throttle body on JRSC (sc4dr)
I run an Edelbrock 75mm TB on my JRSC setup, seems to work fine:
I had to modify the S-tube to match it and change my IACV setup, but it wasn't too hard. That's on 8 PSI.

The TB is so big that when you port the S-tube to match it (I had mine done at ( http://www.handcraftedracing.com/ ), it gets into the passage for the IACV. I filled the IACV passage in the S-tube with metal filler ( http://www.alvinproducts.com/ ) and blended it into the port, then I drilled and tapped a hole in the IACV housing for a breather tube/filter. Curreently it's in the room over someone's garage, just got done getting it reassembled after it got hydro-locked in a flood. It should be even better this time, this build corrected a few errors of the first build. On Monday it's going into this:

I should have dyno results by the end of next week, I'm scheduled for an autox on the 24th in it.
