700whp integra
We just finished up building and tuning one of our customer cars. Figured i would post up some information and some pictures. It's a 1998 Integra. We built the motor here, fabricated the turbo kit here, and tuned the car on our in house dyno. It didnt have much more juice left after this. The ignition system worked flawlessly. Tony1 set our customer up with this system.
We pushed the turbo to around 35-36psi.
700whp/529ftlbs
b18c5 block, b16 head
The motor was assembled in house
Pauter rods
Wiseco pistons 9:1
Benson sleeves
ACL bearings
Stock crank
ARP head studs
OEM overbored head gasket
OEM timing belt
For the head:
Supertech Valvetrain
1mm oversized valves
ITR intake cam/GSR exhaust cam
stock port b16 head
Victor X intake manifold
Omnipower 70mm throttle body
2.75" Charge Piping
Synapse Motorsport Divided Top Mount T4 manifold
twin 44mm wastegates
GT4088R
3" downpipe and exhaust(likely a big restriction, but the car will see a bit of street use)
Garrett 20x11x3" intercooler core with our own custom endtanks.
Tial 50mm blow off valve
AEM EMS
tony 1 cam trigger
M&W Pro 14 CDI box
Direct Fire Distributorless ignition system
Tony1 Catch Can
Sumped the stock tank
twin bosch 044 fuel pumps
rc 1200cc injectors
fjo injector drive box
hondata 4 bar map sensor.
GSR transmission with a quaife
Gator Axles with hubs
Exedy twin plate clutch

seems like the power is falling off rather early ?
running out of cam ?
running out of turbo ?
intercooler restriction ?

well the exhaust definately isnt helping, but we were also using 10psi WG springs with no CO2. just manifold pressure. with the solenoid at 100 percent it wouldnt hold any more boost which was dropping off in the upper rpms.

Probably running out of turbo, the GT4088 really doesn't flow all that much. Those are awesome numbers out of that turbo! Nice setup, been a long time coming! haha

that torque curve looks familiar! every 4088 ive done does that once you get above 620whp or so.
just a suggestion......... i have seen more than one car have all sorts of problems with those small earls filters. even though the look nice and are super easy to work with...... i'd look into something different. i only say it because ive experienced it.
i like the modified timing belt cover! looks good
thats a really fun turbo and very forgiving at the track unlike the 42's / 372's

Re: (tony413)
Very nice setup. Car looks great.
Just curious though, how do you set up that dyno? I'm just used to being around in ground roller type dyno's with the car strapped down and all that stuff. That just looks like you bolted the hubs to something and then pulled the ebrake?!

I like the car and all but I dont like how the fuel lines are ran under the car. Why didnt you guys run the fuel lines in the car? Also why is the battery relocated to the front of the bay like a crx, why didnt you guys just relocate it to the rear of the car?
Should have used some clamps to keep those stainless hose's up more so they dont rub and runi anything. Yes a 3inch exhaust is way too small for a 700whp honda. 3.5 or even 4inch would have been better.
Im sorry to nag about the work done, its just im a perfectionist.
Also the stock ignition system works fine with just a msd blaster coil, rotor and cap, then add in some 8.5mm and your set.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with the way he ran his fuel lines.
his exhaust size seems to be fine, the turbo is just running out of breathe
the battery is relocated in the front because of his catch an placement

Hell yeah! Definitely better to put the battery in the back, that way you can lug around all that extra battery cable and take some weight off the front wheels, who needs traction anyways? It's just a show car, right?

Youre a retard, but....You cant fix stupid....
Compressors done on the 4088.... Still, nice numbers...

Props to you Mike, you have helped me out on team integra many many times. My name on there is t04egsr. You all always seem to churn out super clean builds and make very high quality parts. I might be in the market for another topmount and a custom ic soon and I believe I am going to come to you all for some help.
[almostboostedgsr]
They relocated the battery because of the t1 catch can. They prob didn't move it to the back because of one safety and/or weight distribution.
I've seen first hand that most of msd ignition solutions for a honda are junk.. Just my opinion however.

this may be a stupid question but can anyone explain to me why it seems like power drops off kinda early on that chart? to me that seems a little inconsistent in the the way a lot of honda dohc vtec motors typically perform with boost.

there are other factors involved but any time you push a turbo to its limits you will see it drop off like that. the turbo can only flow so much air, so if the motor spins faster it can still only consume as much air as the turbo can deliver. so if the turbo can deliver 70lbs/min of air, and the engine reaches that at 6000rpm. now you spin that motor to 9000rpm, it can still flowing 70lbs/min but the engine is consuming that same amount of air but 1.5x faster so torque drops off, and hp tends to level off or drop.

Alright this is coming from my buddy, safety issue's huh on the battery relocation kit your an idiot seriously if you dont know how to do it right yeah there may be some issues but then if you cant you shouldnt even be touching a [freak]in car! and as not haveing traction cause the batterys in the back dont be a bitch its 10 pounds grow some ***** and launch in second gear it shouldnt bogg down if your car has enough power like my crx. now thirdly the fuel lines under the car its fine but have fun if you snag one while driving im not ******* or anything im just saying i would have ran them inside the car plus they would stay clean lol. other than that nice car man im not ******* on the car just stupid people
