7 psi isnt enough.....
I have a jrsc and it pushes the stock psi of 7. I want to upgrade with the pulley. what type of pulley should i look at, and do i need to pick up the jackson racing computer to retard the timing. I'm on a low budget so basically my question is wether a pulley will work without the retarding computer or hondata computer. anyone have a pulley for sale????
I'm running a b16 in my si w/ cams, vavlvetrain and 9.2:1 je pistons
thanks

If you're going over 7 psi then you will probably need the JRSC BTC. You can pick up a used one pretty cheap. Just keep an eye on the FI Classifieds here or on the Forced Induction Integra forum on Hostboard.com. If you don't use the BTC you can just retard your base timing. However, if you do this then you will be running with less power (retarded timing) even when you are not under boost. As for what type of pulley to use I would suggest either a larger crank pulley or a stepper pulley. The smaller blower pullies the JR sells have less surface area so there are more problems with belt slippage. I don't know what crank pully to recommend. I know that the crv crank pulley can be used with the gsr and type r 1.8 l engines to up boost to about 10-11 psi. Use the search function. I'm sure the info is out there. Or you can contact Jim at MVM. He makes a fine stepper pulley and helped me a lot. Good luck. Let us know what you decide.
Same thing as MSD BTM, which is probably cheaper than the JRSC deal since MSD makes it for them anyway. Better off with a Hondata (if you want to spend a lot of money) or better yet an Uberchip.
if u want the biggest bang for your buck..... get an aftermarket fuel pump, go to a junk yard and get a crv crank pully (and belt if u can) , and/or then go to napa and find a belt that will fit..............and slightly retard ur base timing and u should be good to go at about 9 psi.......................................i know of a few 10 psi b16's that are doing fine at 10 psi without the btc.but they have fuel mods (injectors and pump)

the 2 that i know about are on the super honda forum.......they never dynoed their cars as far as i know... i would have to guess anywhere from 220-240 (they do not have any tuning done as far as i know either)

9psi makes like 210 so 220 at 10psi i guess...
about... alot of factors...timing fuel, who's fat but may be in the car......
210 is good for 9psi btw....
but ya...... jrsc, i dont know how i feel about them but you can get custom pulleys made...pick your psi but at top end you are back to 11psi at best.....just too hot
the eaton charger can do much more then 13 psi before taking a fat dump!!!!
btw same as in my car.... 13 psi is the tops and its at 10 psi now

You can run a stepper pulley on the alternator or run a smaller blower pulley. A 3.8" blower pulley will make around 10PSI if that helps. I'll have one for sale in about a week if you're interested. I also have a BTC i have laying around too. IM me if you're interested.
how much for the BTC and pulley combined?? also, is it a real pain in the *** to install??? how much hours would you guess a shop will charge me for labor??
thanks
thanks
