600 whp - so close I can taste it!
Well, we tuned soundeffects car this morning...
We were lucky enough to use RENN Tech's wonderful Facility Dyno Jet.
The guys over there were pretty damn cool, along with some sick *** mercedes benz cars....
Furthermore, i think they were quite surprised that this little honda was able to produce the numbers it id.
We had some huge traction issues, so we quit for the day.
we are going back saturday to re-dyno w/ slicks and hopefully w/ a higher wastegate spring...
w/ the profec b the wastegate wouldnt go past 23 psi.
the final run did well....it was quite fat 11:1 afr.
even w/ the same boost level, i think we can squeeze 600 whp when it isnt heak soaked and lean her out to 11.8:1
setup is LS/Vtec
and thats all i'll share for now (until the owner of the car wants to reveal everything)

yeah sadly we couldnt hook up in 4th, so we had to go out on a limb of danger and do a couple pulls in 5th.....
not the brightest idea, but it came out just fine, but we will go back w/ slicks and dyno in 4th....

i was about to say that it was a bit high MPH
i knew it was too fast
once u dyno on 4th u will see more power since the ratio will be more of a 1:1

what I still dont get is...
MOST people who are at dyno places/into drag racing etc know what honda's can do.
its not something super crazy anymore. So why is it people are still amazingly impressed when these "little" motors bang off something like 600 whp?
its like theyve never heard of it happening before. this is certainley not a knock to mase..just some thinking out loud on my part. Do people think guys turn 10's with 200 hp wieghing like 400 lbs or something
anyways..thats awesome!
