Default 5557e and 5857e

Are they interchangeable? meaning swap between to two without modding manifold/downpipe

So long as they both have the same ar and flange style obviously

As long as they are the same housing size and bolt flange, yes. The A/R has no relevance as long as they are the same outlet to the downpipe

i was hoping you would chime in....thanks!

Is there any upgrades that can be made to a 5557e that would surpass a 5857e while still keeping spool time? or would something like that be absolutely pointless and should just upgrade the whole turbo itself.

Im absolutely retarded when it comes to turbos themself...yet iv owned a few turbo cars i should know more.

The upgrade is going to the 5857 (theoretically). that's the whole point in subtle changes in compressor wheel sizes and airflow rates. If you've got the 5557, keep it until you've changed purposes. trying to get the world in one turbo is..... impossible.
