550cc injectors
Was wondering how bad is the idle with these installed on a Turbo'd ITR. Can I get them to idle? I know that the comp. doesn't like anything bigger then 370 or 440's but is it possible?

it depends on the type of managment system you are using. most of the ones i have experience with wont be phased with an idle problem... **** my friend just tuned 750's on a hondata and that thing idles like a champ
basically you need something that will shorten the injector pulses.... no piggyback device will do that...only aftermarket mgmt. something like, motech, dfi, speedpro, apex power fc, haltech or hondata (my fav). look to spend between 1500 and 3000

Speedpro all the way. I love mine and i'm still learning the program!
Anyway,
I would highly recommend getting a stand alone or a Hondata ecu. The time you will be spending on a stock ecu will be a waste of time and money. Really a time issue. But since you are on a tight budget I would hold off and save your money. Do it right the first time cause time is very important

the speed pro is not for everyone. Its great ecu. But it does have its downfalls. I myself use it and think its half decent. Each aftermarket ECU has its ups and downs. The speedpros main fault is lack of 4bar map sensor + lack of good Datalogging on the fly. The haltech is alot cheaper and has about the same features but less people know how to tune them.. The anit boost lag feature on the e6k is bad ***. For most people there is no need for big standalone like speedpro. The cheaper versions will sufice. If i was building a street car i would use the E6k for race car no doubt its either the motec or the speed pro.
b18b - what other downfalls are there for the speedpro on a street car? most of us wont be running more than 30 psi so we dont need a 4 bar map sensor... doesnt the wideband option make it better for a street car? why would you pick the haltech? just the price?

I think the main disklikes for me is the map sensor and the datalogging.
TurboR616.. have you fiddled with the lambda sensor stuff in version 2.4? I am hoping the Greddy gauge will give me somewhat correct lambda readings since it is as a semi wide band that can be used with any ECU..
no i havent...but i do think using the greddy gauge is just a shortcut, im not saying it wont work for you...but youll have a nicer setup with a better method of tuning.
sorry but I am not going to WASTE $1200 on a stibking AF meter! My o2 sensor is bad... a new one is $300 .. the Greddy gauge can be bought for $240 and it comes with a heated sensor that is hellafied times better than the stock o2 sensor and is MUCHO cheaper than the outrageously over priced motec. The FTK sensor that the Motec uses only cost $30000jpy (less than $300) and the Motec electronics are not worth the extra $900. If I'm gonna waste that that kinda money I need to buy a better car first.....hmmmm Lambo, Ferrari, 2002 twin turbo Pinto...hehehehehe
Oh yea... the sensor for the Greddy AF meter is made by FTK. FTK makes almost all of the sensors for wide band and semi wide band gauges(Greddy and Tomei)...
