550 injectors
Does anyone know if I can run
my 550 injectors on my ls/vtec? I am waiting on my hondata, i have a vafc adjustable regulator and a 255 lph and a vortec fmu with a 12:1 disc. I am tired of waiting for my hondata and would like to run more boost i understand it wont be very streetable but if anyone has some info on tuning it would help so i am not leaning out. I plan on running 14 psi
any suggestions on baseline tuning?

you can run the 550 with the afc but dont run the afc with with the fmu under boost tthere will be way too much fuel wiuth the fmu and the 550
also with the afc you will be limited to 11 psi

the stock honda map sensor only reads up to 11psi,its a 1.75 bar map sensor will only reap to 11,
as far as tuning goes set the afc to sensor type 6 in 6 out that will allow you to read to 11psi
then its time for a wideband to se afr, im not going to say set it at xx% atxx rpms and so on there are too many factors involved, in my honest opinion i would not use the afc i would use a chipped ecu setup for boost it allot cheaper than a afc and much better, there is a thread on here about the afc ignition curve that is verry good
here it is

Re: 550 injectors (LeesB)
he's not using the hack so he can boost till what ever he wants. Can I ask what size injectors are you using now?
You can run 550cc injectors and turn up the boost provided that it will idle. However, the 550cc injecters certainly would not be a good match to the 12:1 disc. You'll have to step down with the fmu. Maybe 8:1??? Also, you'll have to tune the afc for your car to run properly out of boost.
That sounds crazy to me that your boosting 10lbs with a 12:1 disc! That means that your fuel pressure is over 150psi! Are you using braided lines?

Re: 550 injectors (Stewie)
i am running stock injectors now it peaks 105 approx at 10 psi 11.5:1 afr kinda rich i know blows some fuel out the pipe at high rpms.
I have a picture of my set up if someone can host it and size it down
but i wouldnt run the fmu with my 550cc injectors according to someone else on this forum i dont know i guess its back to the dyno i go god damn it
i was hoping there was a base line tuning figure i could go off of and fine tune
but no one seems to know
