546whp low boost dyno
Finally got the new Borg Warner S372 in the car and headed to the dyno for some preliminary tuning. The car is a fully built F20B block (87x88mm) with an H22A head. Run was made at 25psi on C16 fuel using RC 1600cc/min injectors (62%duty).
I went there planning to run 36-40psi...but was limited to 25psi due to my 9-13psi wastegate spring. I have a new wastegate on the way that will let me get to the 40psi goal.
Runs were very smooth as you can see by the dyno plot and no real tuning was done yet other than making sure it was around 11.7 AF.
Won't be heading until the track until all the power is extracted. :burnout:

Hell yeah man, I have always loved your car, and that 372 just RIPS. I can not wait to see some high boost numbers. I have the s366 in my prelude and am looking for over 700, so you should deffinatley be seeing 800+ in that beast. Congrats.
BTW, you should get some motor mounts lol

Those BW's LOVE high pressure ratios, so I bet when he gets into the mid-high 30's its gonna rip, and then the trans is gonna say bye bye. I just went for the S366 just so I could keep my powerband lower, because I want to shift no later than 8k if at all possible, because it seems as if the H trans take a **** past that.

That run was only to 8500...i was having some serious wastegate issues and pressure was not building down low.
I will be reving to 10,000-10,500 and with the tight gearing i have from the accord typeR i will not be falling out of the optimal range of the turbo, etc

great setup. how loose did they put that engine together?
looks like some serious power to be had at those higher rpms.

OEM specs on all of the bottom end...but i dont have the exact numbers on hand with me right now (I could dig them up if u really want to know).
I think it is somewhere around 0.0040" Piston to Wall clearance & main/rod bearings at 0.0015". Hope that helps.
