453 whp b16 all out of a 2.25 inch exhaust...
Well after little sleep, we dyno'd David Crump's long awaited SI. It always seems that he has had little problems w/ his car(ie. charge pipe blew off due to someone not tightening the clamps all the way, which lead to it dragging it and later running it over, haha, good thing it didnt bend it), but anyways today finally paid off...
its a 2000 si. darton sleeved block ~9:1 compression basically stock head
drag 3 manifold, junky downpipe. all mated w/ a tiny *** 2.25 inch cat back exhaust.
the turbo is a little wack, its supposely a sc61 but w/ a smaller compressor housing....it spooled quite nicely, hit 7 psi by 4000 rpms.
we only rented the dyno for an hour, so our time was pressed, frankly im a little embarrassed by this dyno graph. for one, when i raised the boost, it went a little lean.... and the afr isnt my best, but after that dyno run i richened it up quite a bit, but that turned out to be our best power... so dont look at that afr curve the graph smoothing was minimal anyways
i later smoothed it out on the street...
For a b16 it made some damn good torque, and has a nice power band IMO. We should have unbolted the tiny exhaust, but oh well, it did well considering what it is.
oh yeah, the 450 whp pull was like at 22-23 psi... the 375 was around 16-17 i believe...
I also took some videos
Right Click Save as
Dyno Pull

3rd gear pull
All in all, it tuned out good, I used this dyno local to me in gainesville the first time... Made the number 4 or 5 on the highest HP top 10 list....funny enough all of them were v8's and one was a 6 cylinder 300z. Needless to say they were all impressed that a stock looking Civic 4 cylinder pulls in there and put down that much power.

I would say teh torque is because of the smaller exhaust.
Good job Mase. Give me confidance. I'm looking for 350 WHP with a T3 .48 turbine and a T04E .60 57 Trim compressor. Will go to 18 PSI, so I should make it.

Nice tuning! I am wondering do's he have a EGT gauge if so what kind of temps did you see? Obviously not pump gas aye?

Drag 3.. At least the post says it has a drag 3 manifold. Mase give us more info on the set up!!

Man, what kind of race gas is that. Near 13:1 a/f ratio at ~6200 rpm's and 320ft/lbs of torque on a 1.6L motor and it didn't detonate bad enough to hurt anything.
Cool stuff.
