Default .40 over piston rings..where?

Does anyone know where I can get some .40 oversized piston rings for my D16y8 motor? Does anyone even go that large? I'm trying to run FJT's vitara pistons, but I need to go oversized... and they only come in .40 over. Thanks for any help.

Probably if anyone had them in stock, it would be Endyn.
Are you sure you can bore your D16 to 77mm and boost safely with it?

just wondering but wouldn't it be better to get bigger pistons rather than bigger rings?

I'm no engine expert by any means, but a while back we had this great idea of building a D18 (ls rods and pistons) and we were gonna be basically on the last strand before the edges of the sleeves after boring it out. But from what I've picked up (and I could be wrong) was that LS pistons are 81mm so I think 77mm would be okay? I'm trying to learn too, so let me know if I'm completely wrong.

79.5mm would be the max even with sleeves so i would find it impossible to fit 81mm ls pistons in there. also boring out your stock block to .40 will be dangerous for boosting and will only yield you a couple more hp/tq not much, but since you have thinner walls you will have to boost lower to be safer, lower boost will yield less hp (of course) so iits not worth it.
