4" Downpipes and Clutch slave bleeder screw ideas....
It is a close fit for a 4" DP between the rad, manifold and clutch bleeder screw. Does anyone make an aftermarket slave cyl. with a better positioned bleeder?
Is it possible to weld closed the bleeder hole, and Re-Tap the same pitch thread more on the frontwards side of the slave?

i wondered the same thing on the bleeder welding, i just dented mine in with a hammer and dolly, mines aluminum tho.
i was wondering if you could put a line to just move it to a different area and the bleeded or the end of the line maybe a few inches away

We run our 4" DP's past the bleeder to the pass side then bring it back under the pan, offers a lot more clearance.
Idk if this pic helps or not but you can kinda see the bleeder nipple for refrence:

for some reason i think the prelude slave cyl. has the bleeder facing 90 degrees out the end, going upwards. but i could be wrong. i know its differant though.
EDIT : i was wrong, it faces foward..

I just cut the nipple off mine. I never use a hose on it anyway. Bleed into pan, hose DP and bell housing with brake clean, done.

I been using prelude slave cylinder for about 4 years now. You have to longate one of the holes to make it fit. works great

Has anyone had any issues with the heat that close to the slave or no, I'm in the same boat. You guys just switching them for the ease of bleeding.

why not put a SS braided line with a bleeder screw on the end?
Thats what Tilton does with their throw out bearings. I will get a pic of mine up tomorrow!

Even stock hydro throwout bearings have that...I don't see how adding fittings and a line would end up being any smaller than a stock bleeder though
Another option would be to use a pull type slave mounted on the front of the transmission. I am thinking of trying this as I'm pretty sure I have cooked mine in the last couple years. It takes in air very slowly so I need to rebleed it every 6 months.

sch40 Dp??? what are you on, lol.
Manifold material is what sch 40 is made of and sch 10.
You sure you didnt mean to say your downpipe was 14 or 16ga?
A 4" schd. 40 downpipe would weigh over 100lbs.

LOL not to mention how much sch40 bends and pieces are for that.
Indestructible.
