Default 37 degree flare tool and 3/16 in. tube bender ----------------------------------------- Almost Done!

I need a 37 degree flare tool that can flare 3/16 in stainless tubing and a tube bender that can bend 3/16 in stainless tubing. I don't know of any retail places that carry these tools and I haven't heard of any of the online suppliers of these tools.

Could anyone recommend a place to buy these. I prefer a brick and mortar place but a reputable online store will do. TIA.

loews home depot, ace, watever.
they all have it. but ur bendswill look like *** crack if u use a conventional tube bender available at the hardware stores. the flaring tool they sell however will work.

the reason conventional benders suxor is because they cant offer the tight enough bends u will need to do ur lines. helpful hint, start w/ all nozzles in runners and lines sticking out of them. plan from there

What do you think about using braided stainless lines. No bending or flaring involved, seems like an easier approach - I just need to figure out a place/way to mount the solenoids.

OT: but what on earth does "suxor" mean?

BTW, I went to home depot, they had a 45 degree flare tool and an unlabeled degree flare tool
I guess I will shell out $80. Too bad the Home Depot ones were &lt;30. They had a tube bender that could do 90 degree bends for $30.

</TD></TR></TABLE>mcmaster has 1000 diff tube benders which one did you mean? I figure might as well get everything from one place.

The summit tube bender doesn't list 3/16 in.

I just priced out 12ft -4 AN hose and 8 -4AN hose ends for &lt;100 at summit. The tube benders seem to go for 30 the flare tool 50 and up (except for the unlabeled Home Depot one)

Cost is about the same as the tools I would never use again and it is easier. Plus since mine is going to be under the mani no one can complain how it looks, not that I care if it works.

edit woops I need some more ends lol another $50 but I can get everthing from one place and imo its easier and quicker.

The ss braided lines are rated at 1000 psi so that should be okay then correct.

You could use the nylon lines, much easier & it still looks clean.

Got a link? It sounds interesting.

I am going to call socal speedshop and see how much the NOS tube bender costs. Does anyone know another place that sells it online?

Well I found out nx has some hose that looks like that they call it race hose - sounds stupid, but they say its better than SS braided. Anyway costs more than making my own SS braided lines.

I am still on the fence, 150 to make my own ss lines or ~120 (or so when I find someone that sells the NOS tube bender) and a 37 degree flare tool + measuring cutting measuring , bending. I don't know.

Someone know a place that sells the NOS tube bender on-line? And cost? I will call socal speed-shop tomorrow, as their on-line ordering is down.

Summit sells it, i believe, in 5/10/15/20ft lengths, i have the numbers of $15 or $20 for a 5ft roll.

EDIT: summit lists 10ft for $18.69
summit part # NOS-16255
