What's the most boost 310s can handle without running lean? with the aid of an inline, stock ecu rev hard II ls engine

-fuel pressure
-how quickly boost builds
-ECM program
-fuel pump
-cam timing

there's really no way to approximate exactly, but I would guess 8psi

 

many people have done 10 psi on the B18B(LS engine) All you need to do is 310 injectors get a 8:1 FMU disk and some sort of fuel control device like a V-afc.

 

I did 10psi with 310s and everthing was a OK on stock GSR engine

 

Redline did you have engine management, a lot of people told me I can't do 10 psi on my GSR

 

yes the stock LS engine can handle up to 15psi with 310 injectors. But the motor will not last that long. Stock LS injectors can boost up to 10psi with race gas. But with 310 injectors you can safely run 12psi on race gas. The reason why the V-Tec motors can't boost that high is because of the higher compression. Hence that is why the LS motor loves boost. I have 310cc injectors, 8:1 vortech, MSD 6BTM, J&S knocksensor, walbro 255l/h HO pump. I have run 10psi on 92 octane with the BTM on and 10psi no BTM with VP103. and the car runs safely rich!!!

How come you have the MSD 6TM and the J&S knock sensor don't they both do basically the same thing?

 

Nope not even close! The BTM retards timing based on psi of boost and the old school J&S that i have only retards timing when it sees knock!!
