3" Thermal Questions.
im pretty set on 3" thermal turbo exhaust, but i was wondering how loud it is, is it annoyingly loud? ill be running a b18b NA for a while until i go turbo with that exhaust. what is a good cat to go with it, and a good way to hook up the most likely 3" cat to the stock ls dp?
got one in my turbo teg and i LOVE it
i got the catco 3" cat from summit for $99 and the sound is just perfect.... has that deep tone in it which i like none of that tomato can sound
get it you will like it...plus its pure stainless steel and a sleeper look

i dont think i can stand an exhaust as loud as what im expecting it to be. i want to be able to carry on conversations in my car and not worry about attracting to much attention to my car. other options or opinions?

i thought i could take the noise ... i was wrong. so i slapped an 18" resonator on and it's bearable but it could stand to have another resonator on - loudness is the price to pay for quicker spool times
btw, my thermal exhaust will be for sale once i remove it. muffler painted black and an 18" resonator is welded in the b-pipe. i have the cut out 3" section also if anybody wants to weld it back on and remove the resonator ... IM me if interested!

From the test I saw online (a dyno comparison)... I was NOT impressed with the "jump" from a 60mm system to a 3 inch Thermal. It was done on a internally stock turbocharged LS... made like 245 with the 60mm, and then like 247.8 with the Thermal.
EDIT: DUDE, I had to comment on your sig, just noticed it... I am ADDICTED to that movie... probably because I'm really really really *ridiculously* good-looking.

why don't you just go to a muffler shop and have them build an exhaust and use all mandrell bent pieces. And for the muffler USe a magnaflow. That is what I did it cost me almost $300 for a complete Turbo back exhaust (that includes the downpipe, cat, and complete exhaust) and it's only a little louder than when it was stock. It sounds like you have a DC Sports Intake. it gets deep and louder when you really get on it. and other than that normal conversations are fine in the car. You almost can't tell you have it on your caruntil you hit it that is...
But Magnaflow said that they were having problems selling their mufflers to Mustang owners a while back because it was actually making their mustangs quieter than stock if all they did was replace the muffler. If you make the pipe diameter larger than stock and then replace the muffler it sounds AWESOME!!!! I love my exhaust. I hope this helps.
