3" exhaust options
- thermo has made 3" catbacks for honda/acura for a while.. however their quality looks so so (the bends). if you own a thermo before, what do you really think?
- dynamic autosports used to/or still is selling some 3" custom made by greddy/trust?! i heard they are crappy though. any body seen it?
- kteller's 3" piping is popular on h-t. however factory in welding and resonator/muffler, the price is about $500.
any other options?

Ktellers system is the best IMO.
I personally got the 3 inch stainless steel piping. It was the most perfect fit I ever had in any exhaust system I have hooked up. The thing is a work of art. It only cost me 70 bucks to have a shop weld it up.

I think your prices are a little off on the Kteller system, unless your getting raped by a local welder.
And if your talking about Thermal R&D, they make an awsome exhaust system, I don't see any so so bends.

i agree. i've had my thermal for about a year now and the quality of it is TOP notch, not to mention it sounds really good. definantly one of the nicer exhaust systems i've ever seen/owned

Well how much is kteller's exhaust?
I think the most expensive part is in which muffler you choose.
I have never really seen a thermal up close so I can't comment on it. They sound ok... depending on the car/setup itself.
OT:
do you think 2.30 is good enough for 225-300whp?

I'm sure you could hit that much power, but why not go with 3", at a lower boost level you will make the same amount of power.

My kteller stainless steel piping for my da was $240 without the shipping. Haven't installed it yet but it matches up to factory piping to a T. I didn't get a muffler through them though, picked up a 3" ss Borla straight through for $90. I don't know if a resonator's going to really quiet it down alot so I didn't opt for one, the turbo helps quiet down alot already.

I had a 3" thermal on my last teg that got stolen and it looked great, sounded great, and the quality was great..
Before i had the turbo i had a thermal 2 1/4" that cracked at one of the welds after someone tapped me from behind and thermal replaced it with a brand new system, no questions asked.. so thermals got my vote.. good product + awesome customer service sells me on their products

Ktellers piping kit
Final cost comes down to what muffler you choose and welding prices. The piping itself for Mild steel should run you just over $200, Stainless I beleive is about $25 more.
I went with the N1 3" muffler($200) and I had a old high school buddy that owns a well known muffler shop in town do the welding. He hooked it up bigtime, he Gave me a Dpipe flange, welded it on, did all the piping, made the n1 angle, ending up spending about 3 hours on my car and only charged me $100 labor
Overall I spent $500 even for everything, I love the way it sounds

Well I'd say the average shop would charge $75-100 to do the job. He hooked it up because he spent alot of time on it(I wanted it perfect) so It took a while.
Yeah he was a good friend in school, we played football together, in this sport it pays to have hookups
