Re: 280zx turbo information? (s1ngle)
The 1982 280ZX turbo had a Garrett T3 Turbo (60 comp trim and .63 turbine trim, I believe). It has the Nissan/Mercedes turbine housing so if you plan to run an external WG the regualr Ford 5 bolt flange will not fit.
Eden Prairie, huh I spend three weeks up there doing cold start testing.

Re: 280zx turbo information? (BROOD)

Yes, the turbo uses a different turbine housing than the Ford/Turbonetics one. The more common T3 5 bolt flange will not bolt to this housing...the bolt pattern is too small on the flange.
~If your using the internal WG portion you already will have the 5bolt flange (as the WG flapper is built into this flange) and will need the three bolt DP flange instead.
~If you are planning on an external WG, you will need to find a proper flange. Regaurdless if you are mounting the WG on the manifold or on the turbine flange.
This turbine housing is sometimes called Nissan, Mercedes, AMG, and possibly another type of housing.

Well it was not cold In Eden Prairie at the time I was there, but it was cold in the testing cell. Nice place.....I liked Baker's BBQ
