Default 2000 Civic Si Rev Problems pls read =(

I dont really know what kind of info to post to maybe get an answer to my problem. I start my car sometimes the check engine light comes on and stays on other times it will come on in the middle of driving. I am not able to get a code from it, it just stays on. Sometimes while driving i am not drive the car past 4200 rpms in any gear. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this problem before, what might be causing it, or how to correct it. When i hit 4200 it sounds like the engine is bouncing off the rev limiter like when you take your car all the way to redline. Anyway, any info is much appreciated.

I have a 2000 civic si with a built bottom end 9.5:1 the head has new valvetrain and ported by Portflow. I am running 550 injectors and im using Hondata s200 with boost for management. The turbo kit is from RevHard and i think the turbo is a .50trim i cant remember. Someone please help me out I will try to provide more detail if i can remember!

Thanks,
Ryan

1. Is your hondata working right? The light on it should stay constant on, not blink.

2. If you throwing a code, you should be able to pull it. Reset your ecu by pulling the 7.5A backup fuse in the engine bay for 30sec, replace, then go for a drive. When it throws the CEL turn the car to ACC, not off, and use a paperclip to pull the CEL.

If it throws a CEL, a code can be pulled.

3. Can you not rev past 4200 or does it start breaking up after 4200?

4. Are you running an 02? Oem? Bosch? Are you tuned?

start with that and lmk what u gots
