Which 2 step is better??
I just want to know which 2 step is better. I already have a msd box and 2 step in my room but i am also getting a chipped ecu from phearable.net and i see i can have a 2 step installed into the ecu. I don't know anyone with the 2step installed in the ECU so im just tryin to get some opinions. But i do know with the msd 2 step the dizzy dosn't last that long. Is there any cons on the chipped ecu 2 step
Most ECU 2 steps use fuel cut and MSD use a coil cut. Fuel is ok on an allmotor car but is not good on a turbo car. If you have a boosted car use the MSD. With the MSD you will be able to build boost.

So you're saying an ecu 2step won't be able to build boost off the line? Are you also regarding this to ECUs controlled by hondata, crome, etc...? (i.e.) Crome has that 2step/anti-lag program.
Edit: So the MSD uses a combination of fuel and ignition cutting which retards timing and adds unburnt fuel to begin combustion in the turbo manifold (instead of in the cylinders) so that results in the turbine spinning and building boost without any load on the motor.
Has Crome come up with any plugins or anything to accommodate this yet?

It has but supposedly it only builds a few pounds of boost. Hondata and AEM have much better systems.

depends on how much boost you want to build off the line.. ive used both crome and hondata crome is just a fuel cut but i made 9psi off the line with it with a 57trim
hondata s300 does have ignition cut as well.. but i only made a few more psi 12 to be exact.
the thing on hondata ur limited on how much timing it pulls byt the dizzy so only so much boost can be made
with msd i have seen poeple make 20+ psi off the line but its kinda worthless cause ur just gonna blow the tires off once u launch..
for most street cars crome on hondata will be just fine and yeah ur still gonna let the tires go up in smoke.. slicks spin alot too with crome and hondata its really up to you.. msd sounds cooler and pops flames but crome and hondata work nicely for a street warrior

how did this get in the forced induction i don't even have turbo i'm ruuning a mild all motor H22. but umm thanks for the info i like the msd set up but i just don't want to keep buying disturbutors and i like the chip cuz i think it's alittle safer.
i make 16-20 psi with my msd 2 step without really pulling timing....
msd is the best imo for any engine mgt based off of a factory ecu... other than that i must say i love the aem 2step/antilag...

u can adjust the fuel and timing maps in crome to build boost. i build full boost (9psi) wiht my gt35R.... thats with preloading the tranny. w/ no preload i get about 6-7 psi
