2 inch intercooler pipe to 2 1/2?

I have 2 1/2 inch pipe for my charge pipes now but wanted to know if it would benefit me to change the pipe from the turbo to the intercooler to 2 inch but leave the rest of the pipe.

It won't be a huge difference but it will get the turbo spooled up a little quicker sence it won't have to fill the extra volume of the 2.5" pipe..
