Default From 2.5 to 3.0 inch DP

Has anyone gone from 2.5 to 3.0 inch downpipe on there turbo kit. Did you notice any big difference? Is it worth the $$$? I am running a 2.5 exhaust right now but I am going to a 3 inch next week. I figure with the exhaust being 3 inch the downpipe might need to be too.

Well, since the exhaust port on the turbine housing of T3's is like 2.25 inches, maybe less...it's tough to fit 3" right on the discharge flange..plus it's not possible with AC on most cars.

From what I've seen, it's about 5 HP difference, 10 at the most for most applications. I guess if you're running mucho boost it might be more.

Art?

your net hp wont be much more, but it will increase spool times. from the dynos that I have seen, gains of 3-10 whp depending on the setup/boost.
