i think you will need at least 2.5 to make it easier to get to 300. but 2.25 might work you will just need a little more boost. a 3 inch would benefit you the most get the most outta your car.

I would have said 2.25 is good for a 250WHP setup. But you may see a lot better results with a 2.5". A 3" is even better but the gain is a lot more minimal for 300WHP. the 2.5 DP and 2.5 cat is good but then it gets restricted so it doesn't matter you might as well have a full 2.25. As soon as the exhaust hits the 2.25, the pressure increase will climb right back into the 2.5" piping very quickly. Like Integra b18b1 said you can get taht goal it will just require more boost especially at 300WHP.

Pretty much.

You can run 2.25 and make 300whp, it will just take more boost.

If I were you I'd go and get a thermal.

So go ahead and get the 3" over with huh? If i can make 300whp@ 12 psi or so with a 3", what would you say ide have to run with a 2.25"?

For my future goal, i want 400whp. I plan on running a 2.5"dp flared to 3" after the AC compressor. What's your insight on this? Ive heard both sides.

i run 254whp and 171wht on a open dp that is 2.5hp. this a on a stock b16 modded drag kit with a vafc, fmu and stock injectors. i was told with better injectors i can acheive almost 270 since i started leaning on the top. when connected to a 2.25 cat and comptech exhaust it was sooooo less powerfull, and i didnt get it tuned that way, but im moving to a 3"dp and a 3" thermal for the street and no cat. i dont know how smog laws are out in FL but if u dont need a cat, dont run one, or at least a test pipe that is the same measurement as ur exhaust.

yeah im gonna go ahead and get the 3" so that i dont have to worry about it later. Im thinkin about the thermal but i also saw that Greddy came out or IS coming out with one called the EVO TT. Its made for turbo apps, but im not sure on the pipe size. most likely its 3" and i love how the Greddy looks and sounds. I can do without the purpleish rainbow lookin tip end!!
