1990 Integra LS...turbocharge it or not?
Here is my deal...I have a 1990 LS Integra with 130 K miles. I have my sights set on the DRAG turbo kit which comes with everything I need and pushes a conservative 5-7 PSI. BUT, if I buy this kit will I need to replace my crank shaft or my piston rods? Also, how do I know if my engine can even handle 5-7 PSI of boost? I want the turbo but I dont know if my engine can handle it, and if it can, will I need to replace the crankshaft and piston rods. I plan on rebuilding my engine at 200 K miles, about how much should I expect to pay to have that done.

Uggh, I had a 90LS that was force fed (and stolen). It was a PITA to install a turbo. **** the Drag kit, go custom. Regardless of what any salesmen tells you, it will be a hack job to install so you might as well go custom and get the parts you want.
Based on my experience I would recommend removing the air conditioning, going to a half wide del Sol dual core radiator, relocating the battery to the trunk, and getting a pusher fan on the front of the radiator. You will have problems getting a filter in there and in getting the compressor outlet charge piping to clear the front crossmember. Maybe having the compressor on the driver side would help this.
Good luck
