Default 18g's bring problems to my world

...and this is why...I am trying to sell my kit b/c I got a new turbo but first I want to fix the spiking and vacuum issues that it has which are all related to the internal wastegate. Now everyone says that its the actuator that takes a **** first, but I want to be sure that the internal flap isn't bad. Is it common for the internal flap to go bad or are most 18g problems related to the wastegate actuator?

The biggest problem is I can only find the replacement actuator at either 11psi or 14psi rate. And I know the guy with the gsr that is buying it from me doesn't want to run 11psi right off the bat. Is it possible to run less than 11psi by adjusting the actuator arm or is 11 the minimum I can go.

Also, does anyone know of a place where I can get the 18g stock actuator to replace my bad one?

the flapper really cant go bad, you might get cracks around the hole but that doesnt usually do anything, as for the wastegate, you really cant lower the boost pressure any lower than the spring. You can kinda ghettorig it by making the actuautor arm longer, and keeping the flapper open slightly all the time to reduce boost pressure but then spool time suffers

the actuator arm can be adjusted longer or shorter by removing the u-clip, i used to adjust boost levels that way when i didn't have a boost controller...you're saying this could possibly work with the 11psi actuator?

if it is adjustable, otherwise you gotta cut it and use a dye to put threads on the arm so you can adjust the length
