I've been told that the GT2871 will bolt up. I'm sure the downpipe and all that would have to be re-made since Greddy has an odd bolt pattern for the goose neck thing.

Look into Precision SCM series turbos. Big horsepower internally gated turbos that are designed to drop right into a DSM.

turbos that was mentioned is out of my price range, unless someone here is selling one for a cheaper price. i'm thinking of getting it inspected then maybe i'll have the worn parts replaced if this way will be cheaper for me. probly less downtime also cuz i wouldn't have to wait for a replacement turbo to be shipped

The turbine housings and sizes of the SCM series and the GReddy 18G are COMPLETELY different. The Greddy 18G is a Mitsu-Garrett Hybrid using a T2 series flange and turbine housing, and a Mitsubishi 18g TDO5H Compressor housing and compressor wheel.

STHPERFORMANCE sells them with either a DSM exhaust flange or a Garrett flange. But sorry I guess I missed the greddy part and thought he was using a dsm setup with a dsm 18g.

thanks for the replies! i decided to get the turbo inspected first before i sell or trade it for another one. whichever is cheapest and will cost me the least downtime i'll go with. i'm hoping all it needs are new seals...

turbo98lude - thanks for the offer but i will have to pass. shipping and currency conversion will add up. plus there will be a lot of downtime which i cannot afford since this is my only source of tranportation (other than the orange limo LOL!)

you can bolt on a 14b, but wait, you got a greddy 18g, then Im not sure what kind of housings they use, maybe the exhaust housing is different, if you got a straight up 18g from mitsu, then you coulda swapped a 14,16g,18,20 on there no problems.

the exhaust housing is a 5 bolt that connects to a dumptube that connects to the downpipe. is it true that greddy turbos are mitsu and garrett hybrids ?

Yes, they are mutts...

They do not use any sort of Mitsu bolt patterns...

thanks, but after the currency conversion and shipping, it will cost way too much for me.

all i know right now is that the Greddy exh mani has a T25 flange but not DSM T25. apparently, the auto dsm turbo will fit but i have yet to find a picture of it

the 13B is way way too small. It is a Nissan T25 flange

what about sell the manifold, downpipe, and whats left and go with a bmc race manifold, a t3/t4 whatnot, and a nice custom 3" downpipe ?... a little money can go a long way..

the reason i don't wanna sell the manifold and turbo is a lot of downtime. plus i would have to worry about brokerage fees again and i really don't have the type of cash for that.

it seems like i'm gonna end up getting the turbo rebuilt or, if i'm lucky, find a turbo that will bolt up locally. my junkyard only has DSM turbos and a CT26 right now

if i knew Greddy turbos are expensive and hard to come by, i would've went with a T3/4 set up from the beginning but now i'm stuck with it.
