Default 1600cc or 1000cc?

Dilema... my old setup on stock gsr block had dataloggs of up to 83% injector DC using PTE 1000cc injectors. my setup will be pretty identical to what I was running before BUT i am going for 550whp range. my car before was only street tuned so I dont know what it was running for power but if the injectors were almost maxed out on stock block will they handle my new build with almost double the boost? id go with 1600cc's but I run crome and it is my daily driver so I am very concerned about the idle and low rpm driving.

thoughts?

Kyle run some 1600cc Injectors with a Injector Driver box from AEM or FJO

Also what was your base fuel pressure before? PTE rates their injectors at 90% duty cycle BTW

"Precision fuel injectors are flow checked, individually scribed, hand selected and then carefully matched to within 1% of each other for optimum performance in your vehicle. All horsepower ratings are calculated at 90% duty cycle at 43.5 psi upon a BFSC of .50. Compatible with all known aftermarket drivers."

i would upgrade the fuel pump that can support a higher base pressure 1000cc can support 700whp if need be on a good fuel system. no reason u cant make 550whp on them.

Crank it up to 60-65psi base pressure and see how that works Kyle Oh and retune Also like I mentioned get a Injector Driver Box

Terry that sounds like a awfully high base fuel pressure, is this a normal FP to be using when creating power levels of this amount?

if its any kind of a street car, id probably stay 1000cc injectors

i havent found a good combination yet with 1600's and an injector driver to get the car to run stock like. (however im working on doing some more research and analysis). but again 1600's are massive. if you opt for 1600's dont expect it to drive stock like.

under very small pulsewidths, the 1600's arent very stable.
