Default 14b turbocharging

I am going to be turbo charging my b16a2. I have a 14b turbo from a dsm. I would like to know will this turbo support boost up to 8000rpm? If this turbo doesn't pull say past 6000 would it be advantageous to run a bigger vtec cam and tune it so that when the boost stops pulling the vtec kicks in and takes it all the way to red? Thanks

This has been covered a lot in the archives. The 14b will be fine as long as you dont go crazy with boost. I know for a fact that it will hold 10psi and under until 8000. 14b is a good budget turbo for a moderate setup.

Check out some of the things that me and Charlie Moua cover in this thread 2nd or 3rd page. Dynoed B18C1 with custom 14B setup at 4psi too.
