Default 14B orientation

Hey guys, I've been looking at different setups for the 14B in civics and found that most if not all have the downpipe at the passenger side.

Would it be possible to position it the other way? Is there a specific reason why people do it this way? The only reason I can think of is possibly easier oil return lines.

also its easier to make charge pipes off the compressor if u have a FMIC and not a side mount.

limited SPACE is the key factor

Were you able to keep your AC with the turbo in the pic?
