I think he's talking about oil return, not fuel return.

My turbo's oil return is -10 AN.

I use a -12 in my drag truck but its a little overkill...but -10 is just fine too...

i just called turbonetics for some info and they said to run a 10 at the minnimum!! they said they would rather run a 12 but a 10 will work. they said they feel safe with 12an fittings because different manufacturers of 10ans use differnt inside diameters. some are too small and my cause a dranage problem! they recomended using 10an fittings if you drill out the inside a bit.

-10AN is equivalent to 5/8"
-12AN is equivalent to 3/8"

1/2" is good enough as well, it's about a -8AN size..

C'mon stan, i expect more than this from you...

We run a -12 return and it is better than running a -10. Realistically, however, you probably won't see much of a difference either way. You want the return to be as free flowing as possible so bigger is better until the point where it doesn't make a difference anymore. I don't really see a need to go to -16 because the oil can't flow out any quicker. We actually run the scavenge of our dry sump pump on the oil return to pull the oil out.

you need about a half inch inside diameter on your return line. -10 is perfect!
