Re: 1000 WHP or bust (White Smoke)
Lol, I came over here to post something about the car and I find this....hrmmm...guess Josh beat me to it!
There really isn't a power "goal" persay, but the turbo will push at least 1100hp worth of air so we will see what happens!
Now we'll figure out how to get this Toronado trans mated to the C32 motor .... This is one possible drivetrain option I'm considering while using the car on the dragstrip, however, I'm still in the very early stages here. For now I'm keeping the trannies on the shelves!

Re: (jeffy)
pictures do not do it justice, you really have to see it in person. I will try to hold something "comon" next to it all so you can try to see how massive it is.
Cody rocks, that about sums it up.

Re:
I was remeniscing of summer and spending Friday evenings at the track when I came upon this:

Camera vehicle, B18B powered Civic at around 5psi. Somewhere around 200whp I would guess.
NSX - mine at around 16psi, probably somewhere close to 600whp, street tires. Can't wait to run again on slicks!

I'm in. Subscribed.
I recall seeing a NSX in Hond tuning back in Dec 06 and Cody was mentioned. I can't remember if that NSX had LoveFab's setup or not, but it had 650whp.
Supra
Skyline
NSX

That's a really interesting idea. With a high stall converter, you should be able to do wheels up launches. Transmissions are supposedly one of the things gm builds best. (yet I still had to replace the 4l60e in my truck.. ) The toronado has the th425, right, basically a th400 with the torque converter offset, connected internally by a large chain? (could be wrong about the chain..just what I remember)
I would guess that tranny would be quicker in the 1/4 than the manual, but will make it harder to achieve your whp goal, how much power do you think that setup would soak up?

Re: 1000 WHP or bust (rorik)
Jay Leno's garage redid a Toronado a while back (some Popular Mechanics edition) and hit 1000 horses. He said it was a blast out gunning a Bentley.
Good tranny indeed

Re: (.dave)
I run the car on C16 above 600whp, though I have heard of a few new brews. Also, I'm throwing around the option of Meth injection so that the car will be useable on pump gas with around 700whp.
I'll post transmission carnage when I have pictures of tranny #1 sometime in the next coming weeks...
